Mountain Biking in the Fog

Working
Together

Each year, we work closely with community partners, agencies, businesses, volunteers and other groups to collaborate on some incredible projects. Whether we are working with local trail users to meet the needs and vision of a vibrant, healthy, and accessible trail system in our community or working on a regional community food assessment, we are committed to connecting the health of our community to the health of our natural resources.

Salmon-Challis Trails Group

Salmon Valley Stewardship is pleased to be part of the Salmon Area Trails effort. The committee’s Action Plan established several goals to work toward:

  • Provide safe access to public lands

  • Preserve and enhance recreational opportunities for motorized and non-motorized trail users

  • Preserve wildlife and riparian habitat along river corridors

  • Promote healthy lifestyles and increase enjoyment of life in the Salmon Valley (check out our Highway 93 South Trail update!)

  • Take an “inside-out” approach, putting local needs first

  • Preserve rural characteristics while enhancing economic vitality

  • Highlight local culture, customs, and history

Other Projects

Over the years, Salmon Valley Stewardship has assisted with many successful grassroots efforts, some of which have evolved into their own autonomous and community driven projects, organizations and groups and are highlighted below. We are proud to have been an integral part of their start-up and success and can't wait to see what the future holds for them in the years to come.
