The changing colors of fall! Check out these photos our Ecological Monitoring Crew captured over the past few weeks. Their work has taken them to beautiful places in the Salmon, Challis, and Mackay areas. Do you recognize any of these views? Lemhi M Cameron cooked down elderberries and infused rosemary, lemon, and ginger to start the elderberry juice base for our upcoming workshop. Did you collect elderberries this year? Go through the process of making a medicinal syrup along with fire cider an While field season is starting to wrap up, the Ecological Monitoring Crew is still putting in the miles to conduct vegetation surveys across the region. The crew has spent many weeks in the Pahsimeroi Valley, near Pass Creek, and Twin Peaks Ranch Sta The walk-in cooler was utilized for the first time as a meat locker this week. Without the need to store any more produce this fall, this has been a great opportunity to support our community's local food system and self-sufficiency in another way. The SVS Community Kitchen is open and rentable for the winter season. We're installing wintertime foam skirting and heaters, and have a new baking oven installed thanks to funding from the CHC Foundation. This is the perfect time of year to host a sm Save the date and sign up for our next culinary learning experience.
