Winter Vegetable Growing Workshop - Free Event
Winter Kissed Farm is the largest wintertime grower of fresh greens in the Intermountain West with over an acre of passive-solar greenhouses. This is the time of year when successional plantings of spinach, kale and baby bok choy need to be planted in order to maximize sunlight energy. This workshop is scheduled to provide participants with the information and cultural practices you'll need to combat winters in our challenging climate and provide food for both your household and your community. Includes FREE lunch.
Harvest Fest

It is a chance to highlight food produced in the Salmon River area, local businesses and restaurants, and Salmon Valley Stewardship's work to promote a sustainable economy and productive working landscapes in the Salmon River region of Central Idaho. Your presence at this fun community event gives you a chance to come together with friends, neighbors and family and celebrate all things local that we love about this valley.
As part of Harvest Fest, we will announce a local business, nonprofit organization, or individual for our annual David Krosting Sustainability Award.
