National Trails Day Volunteer Work Day
June 7, 2025
Join Salmon Valley Stewardship and partners in celebrating National Trails Day! We are working on finishing up our trail signage project in the Wagonhammer trail network. We need your help! There are about 18 more signs that need placed around the area.
Meet at the main Wagonhammer trailhead @ 9 am. We will split up to different project sites from there.
Tools and lunch provided. Bring a impact driver/cordless drill if you have one - we've got the proper bits
We'll connect on where folks want to go and what you want to do (install signs, hike a lot, mountain bike, help with trail maintenance/trail clearing) then send you off to various locations.
Some sign sites include: top of Carl Gulch off the Sheep Creek road, Silverleads Ridge towards the Stein Mountain lookout, Big Silverleads trail, Little Silverleads creek area
Salmon River Back Country Horsemen will also be in the Wagonhammer network that day riding and clearing trails. Reach out to Terry hersh@custertel.net if you want to join them or have notes about trails around Wagonhammer that need cleared.
No need to RSVP, just show up!
